OnePlus has launched OnePlus 15R and Pad Go 2.
OnePlus has launched two new devices globally today: the OnePlus 15R smartphone and the OnePlus Pad Go 2 tablet, both going on sale from December 18. The 15R marks the global debut of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, while the Pad Go 2 becomes the first OnePlus tablet to offer 5G connectivity, at least in one variant.
The OnePlus 15R is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, co-developed with Qualcomm over 24 months. The company claims 36% faster CPU performance, 11% better GPU performance, and 46% improved AI capabilities compared to the previous generation. It's paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
The device features a 7,400 mAh battery—the largest OnePlus has put in a flagship device—with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. OnePlus says the battery will maintain at least 80% capacity after four years.
A 360-degree Cryo Velocity Cooling System handles thermal management, using aerogel under the display, a 5,704mm² 3D vapor chamber with what OnePlus calls "hand-tearable steel," and a graphite layer on the back cover.
The display is a 6.83-inch LTPS 1.5K AMOLED panel running at 165Hz—OnePlus's highest refresh rate to date. It reaches 1800 nits peak brightness and 1 nit minimum with Reduce White Point enabled. There's an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and a dedicated Touch Response Chip delivering 3200Hz instant touch sampling.
For cameras, the 15R has a 50MP main sensor (the same IMX906 from the OnePlus 15), an 8MP ultrawide with 112-degree field of view, and a 32MP selfie camera with autofocus. The DetailMax Engine from the OnePlus 15 is included, with Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst, and Clear Night Engine. The device records 4K video at 120fps. The phone comes in Charcoal Black and Mint Breeze with Velvet Glass finish, plus an India-exclusive Electric Violet variant in fiberglass. It carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.
OxygenOS 16 includes the Plus Mind AI feature, accessed via the Plus Key or three-finger swipe, which integrates with Google Gemini. Other AI features include AI Writer, AI Recorder with speaker identification, and AI Portrait Glow. Parallel Processing 2.0 handles multitasking, while Dual App Control allows simultaneous operation of two apps on one screen.
The OnePlus Pad Go 2 features a 12.1-inch display with 7:5 Read Fit aspect ratio, 88.5% screen-to-body ratio, 284 PPI, 98% DCI-P3 color coverage, and 900 nits HBM brightness. It supports Dolby Vision.
A MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra octa-core chipset on 4nm process powers the tablet, which OnePlus says has been certified by TÜV SÜD for smooth performance over four years. The 10,050 mAh battery supports 33W SUPERVOOC charging and offers up to 15 hours of video playback, 53 hours of music, or 60 days on standby. It also supports reverse cable charging.
This is the first OnePlus Pad Go to support a stylus. The separately-sold OnePlus Pad Go 2 Stylo charges in 10 minutes for half a day's use. The OnePlus Notes app includes handwriting calculator and handwriting enhancement features, and tapping the screen with the stylus while the tablet is off opens the Notes app.
OxygenOS 16 on the tablet includes AI Writer, AI Recorder, and AI Summary, plus Open Canvas for managing up to three windows.
The tablet comes in Lavender Drift and Shadow Black. The Shadow Black variant is the first OnePlus tablet with a SIM card tray, supporting 5G connectivity. It can also share a OnePlus phone's data connection with 30% less battery drain than traditional hotspot tethering.
